Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night, when it envelops, 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 We shall ease the way of fortune for him. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 and denied the Truth of goodness: 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 and to Us belong the Next Life and the present. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 But save him who fears 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
