The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
