Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
