The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
