The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
