Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
