Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Have We not lifted up your heart, 1 And taken off from you your burden, 2 Which weighed down thy back; 3 Did We not exalt thy fame? 4 Indeed, hardship is followed by ease, 5 Certainly, after every difficulty there comes relief. 6 Hence, when thou art freed [from distress,] remain steadfast, 7 And make your Lord your exclusive object. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
