The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
