Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Verily! We have sent it (this Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) 1 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is! 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 On (this night) the angels and grace descend by the dispensation of their Lord, for settling all affairs. 4 All peace is that night until the rise of dawn. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
