Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed this [divine writ] on Night of Destiny. 1 And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is? 2 The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. 3 The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. 4 (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
