The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
