The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 And therein raising dust. 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
