The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
