The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the chargers panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
