The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
