Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
