The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The terrible calamity! 1 What is the Striking? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 and the mountains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then, the one whose good deeds weigh heavy on the scales, 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! - 10 (It is) a Fire which is extremely hot. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
