The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The terrible calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that sudden calamity will be? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 He is therefore in the desired bliss. 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 shall plunge in the womb of the Pit. 9 And what will explain to thee what this is? 10 A flaming fire! 11
