Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8
