Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
