Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
