Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
