Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
