Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
