The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
