The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
