Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
