Believers, do not devour usury multiplied many times over. Fear God, so that you may prosper, 130 And guard yourselves against the fire which has been prepared for the unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger; that ye may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 133 Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good; 134 And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who can forgive sins except Allah?- and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done. 135 Their recompense is pardon by their Lord, and gardens with streams of running water where they will abide for ever. How fair is the recompense of those who act! 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 This Quran is an exposition for the people and a guidance and admonition for those who fear God. 138 So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 And that Allah may purge those who believe and destroy the infidels. 141 Or did you suppose you should enter Paradise without God know who of you have struggled and who are patient? 142 And certainly you desired death before you met it, so indeed you have seen it and you look (at it) 143
