Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
