Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
