Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness), 2 and urges not the feeding of the needy. 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 whose hearts from their prayer are remote 5 Those who make a display (of their deeds). 6 Who are uncharitable even over very small things. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
