Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil your (part of the) covenant, I shall fulfil My (part of the) covenant, and fear Me. 40 And believe in that which I have sent down confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and barter not My revelations for a small price, and Me alone shall ye fear. 41 And confound not the truth with falsehood, nor hide the truth while ye know. 42 And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 And seek help in patience and prayer; and verily it is hard, except unto the meek. 45 Who are conscious that they have to meet their Lord, and to Him they have to return. 46
