The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 Created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
