Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the breath of morning 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
