Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
