The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 who guard their privates, 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
