The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
