Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
