The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created of spurting water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and so am I: 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
