HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
