Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
