Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
