The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 you strive in various ways. 4 As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, 5 And accepts the best, 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 and denied the Truth of goodness: 9 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Almighty God's Truth.
