The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O thou shrouded in thy mantle, 1 arise and warn, 2 Glorify your Lord, 3 and purify your robes, 4 shun uncleanness; 5 And bestow not favour that thou mayest receive more. 6 be patient unto your Lord. 7 When the Trumpet is sounded, 8 that day will be a harsh day, 9 For the infidels, not easy. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 And give him vast riches, 12 And children present [with him] 13 And made things easy for them. 14 and who still desires more. 15 By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications. 16 I will cover him with arduous torment. 17 For he thought and he plotted -- 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 yea, he destroys himself, the way he meditates! 20 Then he beheld, 21 Then he frowned and scowled, 22 and he turned his back and behaved arrogantly 23 And said, “This is nothing but magic learnt from earlier men.” 24 This is naught but the word of a mortal. 25 [Hence,] I shall cause him to endure hell-fire [in the life to come]! 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are nineteen [powers]. 30 And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
