A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 And a multitude of those of later time. 40 And the fellows on the left hand; how miserable shall the fellows on the left hand be! 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 And in the shades of Black Smoke: 43 neither cool nor good. 44 For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury), 45 and would persist in heinous sinning, 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 "And also our forefathers?" 48 Tell them, (O Prophet): “The earlier ones and the later ones 49 will be brought together for an appointment on an appointed day. 50 Then verily ye, O ye erring, denying people. 51 Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom, 52 And fill (your) bellies with it; 53 and will thereupon have to drink [many a draught] of burning despair 54 Drinking the way thirsty camels drink. 55 This shall be their entertainment on the Day of Requital. 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Do ye create it or are We the Creator? 59 We have destined death for you and no one can challenge Us 60 Had We so wished, nothing could have hindered Us from replacing you by others like yourselves, or transforming you into beings you know nothing about. 61 And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? 62 Just ponder over what you sow: 63 Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause? 64 Had We wanted, We could have crushed it to bits and you would have been left to lament, 65 (Saying:) 'We are laden with debts! 66 Nay, but we are deprived! 67 Have you considered the water which you drink? 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? 69 Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 70 Did you consider the fire which you kindle? 71 Did you produce the tree that serves as fuel or do We? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
