Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 As for those who believe and do good deeds and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the truth from their Lord, God will remove their sins from them and set their condition right. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Even so God strikes their similitudes for men. 3 When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads. So it shall be; and if God had willed, He would have avenged Himself upon them; but that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of God, He will not send their works astray. 4 Anon He shall guide them, and shall make good their state. 5 And admit them to the Garden which He has announced for them. 6 O believers, if you help God, He will help you, and confirm your feet. 7 And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective. 8 That was because they were averse to what Allah had revealed; so He let their works go to waste. 9 ۞ Have they not then journeyed in the land and seen how was the end of those before them: Allah brought down destruction upon them, and the unbelievers shall have the like of it. 10 This, because God is the Protector of all who have attained to faith, whereas they who deny the truth have no protector. 11
