AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 for whatever they have done! 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
