Whoever reaches old age, We reverse in natural disposition. Do they not have sense (to see)? 68 AND [thus it is:] We have not imparted to this [Prophet the gift of] poetry, nor would [poetry] have suited this [message]: it is but a reminder and a [divine] discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth, 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Do they not see that We have created cattle for them, out of what Our hands have wrought, so they are their masters? 71 We have made the cattle subservient to them so they ride and consume them. 72 And they have therefrom other benefits and drinks. Will they not then give thanks? 73 But [nay,] they take to worshipping deities other than God, [hoping] to be succoured [by them, and not knowing that] 74 They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance. 75 So let not their speech grieve thee. Verily We! We know whatsoever they keep secret and whatsoever they make known. 76 Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary! 77 And he invents an example for Us, while forgetting his own creation, saying, “Who is such that can revive the bones when they have completely rotted away?” 78 Say: 'He shall quicken them, who originated them the first time; He knows all creation, 79 Who giveth you out of the green tree fire, and lo! ye kindle therewith. 80 Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yea! and He is the Creator (of all), the Knower. 81 His command, when He desires a thing, is to say to it 'Be,' and it is. 82 So glory be to Him, in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and unto whom you shall be returned. 83
