The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
