Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
